Trimming down.

Time to trim down the friends list. People being taken off either haven't friended me back or haven't posted on mine in a while. Chances are, if you're taken off, you won't even notice. Lol. If, however, that's not the case, just post here and I'll put you back on.

For anyone that cares...

...and isn't friended on my journal already, I'm going to make this journal friends-only for a little while. Just a friendly public service announcement.

Pour some sugar on me.

Spoken word. Beat Poetry. Bongos. The performance tecnique of the utterly serious poet. That's why we are applying it to the lyrics of our favorite 80's Pop hits. Total Eclipse of the Heart, Careless Whisper, Manic Monday, Purple Rain, I Know What Boys Like, Hot for Teacher. Guns N' Roses, Wham, Prince, Boy George and more. Finally- the Pop hits of the 80's taken seriously. No singing, no guitars to distract us from the brilliance of "Pour some sugar on me, can't get enough, I'm hot, sticky sweet, from my head, to my feet. Yeah." Pure, pure lyrical brilliance.

It begins at 8 promptly this Sat and Sunday Nov. 18th & 19th. Admission is $10.00 and includes coffee and wine. 80's vinals will be given away.

So, I was surfing around for pictures of the Worldwide D&D Game Day event held at Level 3 in Hollywood two weeks ago and I found a great picture of [info]thefreak.

Support our troops!

Had a long talk this morning with a friend of mine stationed in Iraq over AIM this morning. He said that despite the harsh conditions, they're keeping a sense of humor. I could tell when I checked his AIM profile:

"Support your troops deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan! Send pictures of your boobs!

Ok, so I'm a shameless whore, but...

does anyone have pictures of me from Halloween? I know I posed for a lot of them at the various parties, events, etc. But I haven't seen even one. Just wanted to get a pic of me in costume. Thanks.

Aw, fuck this.

I'm sick. I hate being sick. I run myself into the goddamn ground all the time, but I always bounce back after I just get 8 hours of sleep or so. Not so much this time. I've been fighting something all last week. Thought I was over it, but I started feeling light-headed and dizzy at rehearsal last night for "Happy Hour". Went home, had some chicken soup and went to bed. Slept 8 hours. Woke up feeling... alright. Good enough to go into work. Woke up a little late, so I skipped breakfast. Got to work and had a cup of coffee and some SnackWells cookies from the vending machine (for dunking!). Ate my breakfast and just tried to ignore the splitting headache and the knots in my shoulders. About ten minutes before my lunch time, I finished a call, put my phone on "busy", calmly got up, walked to the mens room and proceeded to violently projectile vomit into the nearest stall. I'm now home, in bed and in discomfort. Feeling the urge to hurl again, but my roommate's girlfriend (who's visitng from out of town) is currently taking a shower. Might have to make a run for the trash cans out back... This blows. Was supposed to go to the Writer's Lab and Ground Control tonight. Was supposed to be working on the Write Act calendar and go to the gym. Was supposed to finally do the dishes that have been waiting in the sink for a disgustingly long period of time. Was supposed to be fucking productive today, not laid up in bed puking my guts out. I don't have time for this bullshit. This sucks.

Quick question...

Ok, I know the odds are slim, but does anyone know of a sound stage available for rent in the greater LA area that's relatively inexpensive and has a high ceiling? I'm trying to find a location to shoot my next film at. Oh, and it HAS to have floor pads available.

Only a few chances left to see TWO great shows at Write Act!

Ok, it's one thing when I'm promoting my own work, but there are two plays running in repertory over at Write Act right now that are incredible! I'm not even IN them and I'm saying this! This is the last weekend to see the jaw-dropping Uncle Vampire - go now before it's too late! Justice Box is running for another two weeks or so, but you want to go see it NOW because it's simply that amazing.

Tickets for both shows are $20. Parking and drinks are complementary. If you want, I'll go see them again WITH you guys and you'll be able to get in for only $10. Trust me. It's worth it.

Worldwide D&D Game Day

Worldwide D&D Game Day

Believe it or not, Wizards of the Coast is renting out Level 3 in Hollywood and hosting the main event there. I'll be there at 10:30am on Saturday (Nov 4th). I'm looking for 5 other players to join me at a table for the Curse of Gethen Abby. The event is free and there are pre-generated characters available on the main page for the event. Anyone else interested in participating?

The Last Sentinel

I've lived right next to Warner Bros. Studios for over 3 years now, but last night was the first time I ever got to walk on to the lot, and it was to screen a movie I was in, no less! I have to admit, I may live about a block and a half away from the studio, but I drove so I could get the parking pass (I collect one for every studio visit). I went by myself and I'm kind of glad I did. I don't want to say the movie is bad, but it has enough plot holes, bad special effects and continuity errors to be great MST3K material. It's going straight to DVD, I believe. Oh well, I did get to watch myself get killed in a couple of scenes, which was cool. They even got a couple of nice full-face reaction shots in one part. Oh, and yes, my name is in the credits.

File this under, "WTF, sir?"

My new jar of peanut butter spooged on me.
Yes, you read that right. Peanut butter spooge.
Allow me to explain. A friend of mine from work insistes that I try this "all-natural" peanut butter. I'm game, so I go out and buy a jar of lovely Vons brand peanut butter au natural. I get home and go to make a sandwich. I open the lid. I start to peel back the seal on the top of the jar when suddenly, I'm blasted with peanut oil. One changed shirt later... I come back and cautiously remove the rest of the seal. The entire top quarter of the jar is nothing but oil. Disgusted, I pour the oil down the drain. I then proceed to make my sandwich. The peanut butter is dry and doesn't spread easily. Then, it suddenly occurs to me that the oil was there for a reason. While chewing my dry, clumpy PB&J, I realize I should have stirred the peanut oil back into the peanut butter before making the sandwich. Yeah. All this crunchy hippy crap can bite me.

Zombie Holly

From Ground Control last night. By chance, did anyone manage to steal some clips from the webcast?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What's with these zombies eatin' my girl?
Why do they gotta front?
What did we ever do to these guys
That made them so violent?
Woo-hoo, but you know I'm yours.
Woo-hoo, and I know you're mine.
Woo-hoo, and that's for all of time.
[chorus]
Woo-ee-oo, I hear zombies like bukkake.
Oh-Oh, and so does Mary Tyler Moore.
I don't care what they say about it anyway.
I don't care 'bout that.
Don't you ever fear, I'm always near. I know that you need help.
Your tongue is eaten, your eyes are gone.
You need a guardian.
Woo-hoo, and you know I'm yours.
Woo-hoo, and I know you're mine.
Woo-hoo, and that's for all of time.
Woo-ee-oo, I hear zombies like bukkake.
Oh-Oh, and so does Mary Tyler Moore.
I don't care what they say about it anyway.
I don't care 'bout that.
I don't care 'bout that.
Zom-Bies! Knock on the door, another big bang, get down on the floor.
Oh Shit! What do we do?
Don't look now but I lost my shoe.
They can't run and They can't kick.
What's a matter babe, are you feelin' sick?
What's a matter, what's a matter, what's a matter you?
What's a matter babe, are they eatin' you?
Oh-oh-oh!
And that's for all of time. (x2)
[chorus]
I don't care 'bout that. (x3)
